We are looking for an experienced, inspiring, and courageous leader as a

Quality Control (QC) Civil Manager

You will have a unique opportunity to start and develop our Civil QC Unit in nuclear industry including the site QC. You will be responsible for quality control of the technically challenging civil structures and buildings including both site QC as well as off-site civil related components and structures. This means you will have an excellent opportunity to use your expertise in exceptionally wide scale. 

You will coordinate quality related activities with the supplier and sub-suppliers, Fennovoima inter-discipline colleagues and safety authorities. You will also follow up quality and schedule during the operations. You will ensure and if needed, train suppliers to follow requirements and safety culture principles during the whole process.

Your main tasks will include

  • Leading the Civil Quality Control Team in QC Unit 
  • Coordination, planning and guiding civil quality control activities
  • Coordination of inspections on site and on manufacturing sites
  • Co-ordination of qualification of inspection methods
  • Participation in supplier evaluation and technical assessment audits
  • Communication with STUK about civil related quality control issues
  • Participation in supplier evaluation and technical assessment audits 
  • Development of internal management systems processes, and procedures related with inspection and surveillance of civil structures and components
  • Participation in building commissioning process

The ideal candidate for this position has

  • Solid track record of inspection in leading quality control of civil structures and buildings components (nuclear field experience is an advantage)
  • Great communications and team leading skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in civil power plant’s design is an advantage
  • FISE certification is an advantage 
  • Qualifications of a site manager or supervisor in the difficult difficulty class is an advantage
  • Knowledge of nuclear power plant design, YVL guide requirements, awareness of nuclear safety culture
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering
  • Experience of technical audits and supplier assessments
  • Fluent English, Finnish and/or Russian are an advantage
  • Readiness to travel at least once per month as the epidemic situation allows
