Tiina Rytky wants to bring the positives of the project to the public

The economic growth and jobs the project provides were the reasons which made Tiina Rytky, a communication professional and a native of Northern Finland, join the ranks of Fennovoima. Environmental reasons also played a role in her choice. Tiina says that she enjoys working in a project that can help mitigate climate change.

Tiina's work in communications includes a wide variety of external communications: she is in charge of Fennovoima's website, social media communications, and the stakeholder publication Fennonen. Like her fellow communications officers, she also maintains media relations for the company. According to Tiina, she has enjoyed the role that suits her perfectly.

At work, Tiina is most motivated by writing for and working with the Web services. She takes pride in completing projects large and small, and being able to take on yet another challenge.

Days in the communication unit are fairly busy, which brings out Tiina's best qualities. In particularly hectic times, a communications officer must remain calm and hold her ground under the crossfire of tough questions, even if negative publicity may sometimes be difficult to handle. The good atmosphere among co-workers helps during intense periods of work.

Tiina's free time is mostly spent with her family and in running training. She takes part in shorter races and even marathons. In the spring of 2015, soon after she started in her job at Fennovoima, Tiina joined the company's team to participate in a corporate marathon event in Helsinki.
