Nuclear power is for today and the future

Here is one reason to like nuclear power

Today, nuclear energy produces almost half of the low-carbon energy in Europe. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, working under auspices of the UN, defines nuclear power as one part of the solution for controlling climate change.

In addition to the current light water reactors, several different reactors are being developed around the world for the needs of the future: small, serially manufactured reactors for local needs and flexible capacity increases, high-temperature reactors for producing process heat for industry or, for instance, synthetic hydrogen, and breeder reactors that use spent nuclear fuel as their fuel. The field of nuclear energy is developing fast to be able to better respond to the challenges of climate change and the future demand for energy.
