Fennovoima’s first Corporate Responsibility Report published

Fennovoima has published its first Corporate Responsibility Report. It covers the financial year 2016. The report depicts Fennovoima’s operations, targets, and achievements concerning social, environmental and economic responsibility, and safety matters. The themes covered in the report include for instance organizational development, supply chain management, nuclear safety and occupational health and safety, and environmental impact management.

The report also presents Fennovoima’s Corporate Responsibility Program, which is an integrated part of Fennovoima’s Management System and a guideline in the strategic management. The program is comprehensive, encompassing all operations within the organization.

The report references to disclosures of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2016 that have been identified as material to Fennovoima’s corporate responsibility. External assurance for the report has been provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers Oy.

Fennovoima’s intention is to have established and functional corporate responsibility reporting practices in place, when the construction of the Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant begins. The corporate responsibility reporting continues to be an annual procedure. Moreover, updated information concerning Fennovoima’s corporate responsibility is regularly made available on Fennovoima’s website.
