We invest in the professional development and learning of our staff. We offer a wide range of training for our employees.

Working in the nuclear industry requires continuous learning and development. Fennovoima offers opportunities to constantly strengthen your skills. Some positions have mandatory training in fields such as nuclear safety and quality control. In addition, we arrange a wide range of other training for our employees, including plant technical training, managerial and leadership development, project skills training, language and cultural training.

Each year, some of our employees attend the national nuclear safety course. The first course was held in 2003–2004. The course is arranged by the Lappeenranta University of Technology together with Fennovoima, TVO, Fortum, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Aalto University and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Introduction training for new employees

It is important for us that all new employees feel welcome at Fennovoima. All new employees participate in a two-week long introduction training program. A personal introduction plan is made for each new employee for their position. We want to ensure that all employees have sufficient basic knowledge of the different parts of the project.
