Mohamed Mahmoud

Mohamed Mahmoud likes challenges and therefore he wanted to participate in building a nuclear power plant in Finland. Mohamed is originally from Egypt and in Fennovoima he participates in supervision and assessment of supplier’s instrumentation and control (I&C) systems engineering process during the life cycle of Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant project. His interest in control systems engineering started right after high school when he was working as a maintenance assistant in an Egyptian four star hotel and he was in charge of maintaining elevators and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems. He was so amazed by the power of electrical, mechanical and electronic control circuits that he decided to start studying computer and systems engineering.

Mohamed says that Fennovoima has motivated him to do great things in an excellent knowledge sharing environment. He is also currently studying his second Master's degree of Industrial Management at the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in order to develop his skills in the field.

In his free time, Mohamed plays football or relaxes by going to the gym and swimming.
