Fennovoima is a nuclear power company established in 2007. Our power plant will be constructed in Pyhäjoki, Northern Ostrobothnia. Radiation Safety Engineer

We are looking for an expert with knowledge and experience on radiation safety of nuclear power plant. As an expert in Fennovoima’s Radiation Safety subunit you will participate in review and discussion of design solutions regarding radiation safety with plant supplier and regulator. You work closely with other professionals in Nuclear and Radiation Safety unit and other engineering disciplines. Depending on your experience, the role can also be of a Senior Radiation Safety Engineer.

Your tasks will be related to e.g.

  • Review and development of design documentation related to radiation safety / radiation protection
  • Review and development of design documentation related to radiation monitoring
  • Radiological analysis
  • Emergency arrangements
  • Radiochemistry

Ideal candidate for this position has

  • Master’s degree or post graduate degree in technology, physics, radiochemistry or similar field
  • At least 5 years of experience in tasks related to radiation safety of nuclear power plants
  • Advanced language skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • Good interaction skills and initiativeness

Knowledge of the Finnish nuclear safety regulations and advanced skills in Finnish language are considered to be an advantage.

Work location:
- Helsinki capital area next 2 years and later Pyhäjoki or
